Dunsfold is the birthplace of some iconic aircraft in Britain’s aviation history – the P.1127, the Hawker Hunter, and the BAe Hawk. Uniquely it is the home of the most influential military aircraft of the past 60 years – the Harrier – the first operational VSTOL military aircraft that was the blueprint for many evolutions and variants exported across the World.
Dunsfold also represented home for a range of other aircraft during World War two – notably the B25 Mitchell medium bomber.
